Karleigh Sue Challenge - Anything but a card
Well today for the new Karleigh Sue Challenge we want you to go out of your comfort zone and make something other than a card! And hopefully use some of the great images from Karleigh Sue to do it :)
I was really happy with this challenge because this is my new resolution this year!!!! To make less cards and more of other stuff!
For this 1st make I'm using the great Rainy Days and I did my very 1st mixed media canvas!!!!! So fun!!! It will not be my last that's for sure... kind of gotten the bug now!
I decided to make something special for my great friend Erin who organized the let's perk up Vicky Group in FB :) I thought it would be nice for her to have something made just for her from me! And well it happens to be the 1st piece of it's kind as well!
The canvas and easel was purchased at the dollar store. I used some Distress paints to color it up (Squeezed lemonade, Faded jeans, Peacock feather, Salty ocean). I added some modeling paste using a stencil from Crafter's workshop - mini rain. I then added a bunch of Robin's nest dew drops.
Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics before applying it to the canvas. The sentiment is from Create with TLC and I thought it would be perfect for this!
I'm entering this little canvas in the following challenges:
