Creative bug Freebie - April 30th

I'm playing with the wonderful Freebie from Creative bug on the loose.  My friend Naomi is not doing well... and Lisa is taking over the blog to share the wonderful freebie with all of you!  This is pretty appropriate with  the creator of this digi being sick.  So when Lisa asked if I could create something with this wonderful digi of course I said YES!

So here's my card.

I used paper from Soho Garden - American Craft.  I embossed with 2 different folders the paper underneath the image.  The die cut is done with my label 4 from spellbinder.  I used some flowers from my stash as well as some brads for the center.

Here's a better look at the digi colored with my copics and the sentiment that I used from Create with TLC and highlighted with some Peocock Feather distress ink.
To make this card I followed this sketch:

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

  1. Sketchy friday - Sketch
  2. Paper playtime - Emboss wet or dry (went with dry)
  3. The papernest dolls challenge - Emboss it
That's the 2nd post of the day!  There's another one coming so please come back ;)

  5. Awesome, awesome card. I just love the colour combination and the embossing makes such a difference. Unfortunately an embossing machine is far down on my list of priorities right now but maybe one day. In the interim I might buy a couple embossing folders and have my strong husband use a rolling pin to create some texture. Also love how you inked up the edge of the sentiment with a matching colour and those flowers are awesome! Great job my friend and thanks so much for pitching in to help me out with Na's blog. Mucho appreciated.

    Big hugs,
    Lisa
