Rosalind

Goodevening!  I hope you had a great day! In my case it was ok... trying to do some powerpoint presentations... ughhhh so long... and not fun in the least lol.  When I see what everyone was up too during the day I really miss my studio!

So I'm here tonight to share with you a card I made a little while ago with one of the awesome Lacy Sunshine images called Rosalind.  She's part of the moppet series.  You can purchase her here.

For this card I tried out a new ribbon technique that I had read in a magazine!  I really love the way it turned out.  I used some paper from Steampunk - Botanical by Recollections.  I used some gears dies from Tim Holtz that I sprayed with Bronzer mist by Heidi Swapp.  I used my vintage photo distress ink around the digi and the sentiment.

Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics.  The great sentiment is from Create with TLC.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

  1. Corrosive challenges - Steampunk
  2. Can you digi it - Very vintage - for me the steampunk look especially with the moppet's clothing is really vintage.  And the sentiment reflects that as well... so hope I'm ok with this challenge
  3. Craft-room challenge - Something new - Yup I have lots of inspiration from magazines... and finally tried one out with this ribbon!
  4. Flourishes - In distressed - used distress inks
  5. Digi sketch challenge - Vintage and sketch - this time did just the theme
  6. Kaboodle doodles - Season of fall or fall colors - using fall colors with the browns
  7. Addicted-to-stamps-challenge - Shabby/Vintage
That's it for me for tonight!!!  Hope you have liked my creation.  Looking forward to reading your comments.  It always does brighten my day!!!  Still pinching myself that I actually have some people that like seeing my work and follow me!!!  It really is a dream come true.

Hugs

  7. Wow, this is so cool. Those die cut gears actually look like embellishments--great idea to use the bronzer on them. So when are you going to do a tutorial to show us how you created that absolutely fabulous ribbon?!
