I've been really busy this summer with this awesome new process of journaling by 5s.  It's a timed event so you really don't have time to think you have to just let it go!  And that's pretty awesome creatively speaking.  So today I'm here to share my post for  Sparkle and glitter . I've been playing with the fab sheet  Buttons and Bows .  And I played with 3 for this page. I used some borders on the left and right plus the little manequin shape.  I used some washi tape and lots of paint to make this. Here's a closer look at the page.  They were all colored with my copics.  The sentiments are from  Create with TLC   I used a bunch of punched out circles and some sequins in them.  Thought it was fitting with the image and the fashion.  I did ruin my dolls face however by putting the varnish on top.... the colors ran on her :(  that really sucks... I need to start using my Krylon spray before sealing my pages. And here's the closer to the o

It's my very 1st time doing an inspiration post over at Karleigh Sue  here!  I'm very excited about it!  For my 1st post here I decided to used the great image for making a little door hanger.  I wanted to make something that would be put on the door to the garage for when I'm doing a video :)  So I used the fab  Dog Days of Summer . I wanted to make sure that my kids would not get in... and this is what I came up with lol.  Hope that is something that you will like.

Well my timing couldn't be more wrong.... it's super nice here actually still looking like SUMMER which technically it is!  But there are some Christmas stuff popping up here and there... and I'm totally well feeling like this card... so maybe actually my timing is right lol.  I mean... why would you have Christmas stuff out before Halloween is even beginning?!?  Or fall?!? man.... weird times.  Anyway I'm here to share my make for Sls lines digital stamps  with the precolored image that comes with the set   Christmas Zombie Head .  I really love how this is colored and it was just perfect for a fast and fun card for some of my more dark crafty friends for this upcoming Christmas :).

For those of you that follow me you will have seen (probably) my Journaling by 5s series using playing cards!  Well I'm very happy to share with you the finished album that I made!!!! I used a box of wine to make the cover with some Verday paint and it gave it a very nice patina.  I also added some metal corners.  It was put together using some eyelets and some beaded chain. Hello!  There's an awesome new release over at  Karleigh Sue  and it's such a very fun one!!!! I had the pleasure of working with the great Kharma is a b****.  And I thought and thought and thought of how I could use her... And suddenly I had one of those AHHHHHH that's what I want to do type of moment! Of course it was again some journaling.  I have to say that there's something quite fun about making something just FOR YOU because YOU WANT to!  And something that no one else has to like.  It's also a way for me to have some reminder of what is important and what I'm supposed to do.... as well as what I'm afraid off.... Anyway I digress.  Here's my make with the great new image. During the summer time I purchased fabulous skulls on special at Michael's they are made out of paper but they really make awesome stencils!  Now I need to make one out of plastic so that it will last longer....

Hello!  We are halfway through the month!  And it's time to share with you the make that I did for the month of September for  Sparkle and glitter with rick .  I had great fun playing all through the month with the digis from the great sheet  Buttons and bows  there are some really AMAZING digis on there and I managed to make 3 makes with them. Here's my 1st one for you.  I wanted to make a special b-day card for my grandmother who turned 98!  I thought this cutie would be perfect for her.

I had great fun using the fab image Tuxedo cat  it's not the 1st time that I use him and probably won't be the last :) This is the front of my bookmark  I used as well a great sentiment from  Create with TLC .  I did some stamping with a little rubber stamp that I have.  I added some eyelets from Eyelet outlet.  the stenciling was done using a  Stamploration stencil  I really love using those in my mix media. Hey it's Monday!!!!  Already.  It really seems like the time is FLYING by at an incredible speed!  Anyway I'm here to share with you my latest journaling by 5 that I did with a great new release image from over at  My Whimsical little world .  (don't forget there's always a freebie lurking over on the blog!!!) Hey!  It's time already for a new challenge over at  SLS Lines  and this time it's about monochromatic. Well that can be sort of a challenge but I thought right away that I wanted to do something in black and white and that can be super COOL.  So I used the fabulous  Awkward man  for this.  He just seems so very sad... and black and white was just perfect for this.

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new release over at  The East Wind  and this time around the image is Unlisted!  It's just SOOOO gorgeous I couldn't resist and just had to play with her! I have been playing with my verday paints and I had used some extras on an Index card.  I really love the verdigris that it creates!  You should check it out if you don't know that paint it's really gorgeous and makes regular paper look like metal! So anyway back to my story I had some left over and just didn't want to waste it so I put it on an index card and love love love the background it made.  When I saw this digi I just knew it was perfect for it.  I had also purchased a fun picture stand in the states this summer and I put that index card on it as a display in my living room!  I really love how it turned out :) and that's rare because I don't usually like what I make! Zombie Angel  is such a great image it was perfect for a calendar! Well if you follow me you know that I'm desperately trying to get ahead of the game... the CHRISTMAS game.... YUP I said Christmas!  I want to make more handmade presents this year... and one of the ones that I decided to make is some Desk Calendars using some old (found in thrift store) flip albums frames.  I have a wood one started and this is the one that this calendar page will go into.  But I will have some other ones that are iron or plastic... therefore I used my DT make for  Faery Ink  to get ahead!!! So much to do so very little time!  Anyway you are not here for my story lol. OMG.... I hate hate hate making box cards lol and when I saw that this was the showcase choice for this month over at Art By Mi Ran I've been dreading it... and procrastinating.  It's a good thing that Mi Ran's image are sooooo adorable that they get the inspiration going. Here's the image that I worked with   Hello Mr Snowman . I decided that if I was to do a box card I would get ready for Christmas time and all the gift card wrapping that I need to do. I think it turned out quite cute.

For this challenge I decided to go retro!!!  And go with the great image 1984 .  It brought all kinds of memories!!!! I made some journaling of my teenage years :)

I'm here to share with you my latest make with the fab  Hope  from My Whimsical little World .  And you can find great freebies here. You know how much I just love love love journaling and for this image I have done a page using the JB5 method. I really love how this turned out when I finished. You can see how I did this on the video this way  Journaling by 5s  this video is the 1st part.  The left page is the making of that I added afterwards.   I used some images from magazines and some ephemera from some crafty friends.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC .   I used some stamps from Unity stamps to make the background as well but you can see this in the videos. Hey there's still 15 days to enter the challenge over at  Scribbles Designs  where this month it's all about the boys!!!! For my make I used the fab digi  Gone buggy 2  to make a cute little ATC that was used in a pocket letter. If you haven't made one you really should they are so very fun!!!! The background for this ATC was done with my gelli plate.  I used some mowed lawn distressing ink and the image was colored with my copics. Oh it's already September 1st!!!! Where is the time going?!?  The good news is that means there's a new Freebie if you are a newsletter subscriber at  The East Wind . Now because it's September it's also back to school time.  I have to say that I really love shopping for back to school stuff because I always see cool scrappy stuff too!  I ended up buying more stuff for me at Walmart than for my kids lol there was a bunch of very cool Crayola products out!!!!  Including a set of neon acrylic paints for kids (washable lol).  It just called out my name. Of course, I had to use them on this project.  Got me super excited.  I've been really inspired by Bonnie to try to create stuff in bolder colors and different ways.  So here's my journaling with this fab image.

Hello everyone!  I have my very last camping memory displayed today... I'm so very sad that this is the end of it.. Well last time I shared with you a fall calendar page.... but this time I'm even farther in the year.... I'm sharing with you a December calendar page because I have to finish my gift.... and well Mi Ran's images are just soooo awesome!!!!  So that was perfect for the inspiration post over at  Art by Mi Ran Here's the image that I worked with   Reindeer Friendship . It's just PERFECT for my calendar page! And since the showcase was about warm colors I thought it was even better! So here's my little calendar for the month of December. I used a bunch of left over papers to make this.  I also did some work using the great stencils from  Stamplorations  and the calendar is from  here. Ok so we are already at the part 4 of the playing cards!  And this time around I used a bunch of different digi stamps and sentiments because that's what this step is about stamps and sentiments. I also used some images that I found in some great books purchased at Winners our equivalent of TJ Max for only 0.30 and 0.70 :)  they were about weird hats and beards and weird dog coats that you can knit!  I thought they would make some great pictures for my journaling on the cards and other pages and I wasn't wrong!!!! Hey hope you guys are all doing good!  I'm here to share with you a little inspiration from me for the  latest sexy challenge . I have shared how I did my journaling using a technique called journaling by 5s so you have 5 steps for doing it and 15 minutes on each step.  It's something fun especially if you are scared of journaling! I have to admit that after doing those step this page was pretty much finished.  I just added a few touch in the free play.  This page using  Genie  turned out to be one of my very favorites. On the left hand side I just explained the process that I did on the right side which is the one that I worked on while doing the JB5 On the left page I used some left over papers and some project life cards.  I also used some stamps from  Stamplorations  they are quite fun to use and not expensive.   On the main page I used lots of magazine cut out.  The back ground was done using some acrylic paints and I added some stamps from Unity stamps.  I

Hello everyone!  Hope you had a great Sunday!  I'm getting ready to see my doctors this week.... getting a bit anxious but sure hoping that soon I can get to normal.... but I do have to admit that the drive that's 2h a day and with the back to school will be more.... is scary to me.... Well I had fun today after doing a bit of shopping at a local store!  I really love how the journaling by 5s only takes 15 minutes.... makes it fun and easy. For this step it's collage.  I was pretty happy because I had kept all my left over from the previous journaling by 5s in a little plastic box.  So I used those for this step :) Hope you like my video. Hi everyone!  It's time for my August release over at  SLS lines digis .  And this one was a perfect one in the journal that I did for Journaling by 5s. I just have to say how I loved that process and how freeing it was.  You can check out this via my youtube channel  Crafting Vicky Here's the finished page that I did once I did the free time play with it using the great  Fantasy Shaman Once I did all the process this was one of the pages that I was not able to get to for the doodling.... but I really want this journal to stay intact... so I'm using the left hand side to comment what I have done to the page on the right since the initial 5 steps.  The stamps used on these pages are from Unity stamps. I'm really liking how mysterious this page turned out.  The image was colored with my copics.  I did add some gold accent with the sharpie pen.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC I added some of the gold back because it was gone from the initial stenciling

Well I finally made the plunge after watching Bonnie Irvine from afar for a long time playing with playing cards I decided it was my turn! Hello everyone! Yup I'm sharing a nude!  But if you read my post you will understand why I journaled this!  It's a message for me and for all my friends that don't like their bodies! I don't know if you have seen my post in the SLS FB group but I have been doing the journaling by 5s.  And I used a great pin up from SLS lines for one of the pages  Pin up Nude . The layout was done while doing the steps and I finally finished the page this morning.  I really hope that you like this page. My sentiment behind it is that we don't accept our bodies and ourselves and we really should no matter what shape we are! From the journaling by 5 to this layout I have completed the left hand side with my thinking while doing this page.  I added some doodling as this was one of the page that I had not completed in the 15 minutes allowed.  I added some washi tape and lace tape.  The washi tape is a measuring one because we are always measuring ourselves.... and we shouldn'

While I was out camping I was choosing the images that I would be showcasing this month over at Sparkle and Glitter :)  And I just HAD to share this one because I thought it was just PERFECT for a camping book. Let's be honest if you have seen my camping pictures you will know that I camp in luxury.  And one of the things that is SUPER important to me is the washroom facilities.  So when I saw  2011 Mendencino Outhouse  I knew this would be the perfect decoration for my page.

Hello!  My computer is back!  OH OH OH BOY so very happy to be on my own little baby instead of using my hubby's.  It's just not the same using his....  He doesn't  have all my software... and I can't rearrange my stuff to find it easily. The good thing is that my digis are on a little SD card so I can have them always with me.... and I wasn't without them.... and I also knew that I would not be losing them if the harddrive had an issue... and YES it's one drive that I copy often because I really don't want to lose all those precious digis! Anyway I finally shared one of my last DT work for my little junk journal.  There's only one more share and I thought that with this share I could also release the video of the flip through of this special album.  It was great fun to make. And won't be the last. The only thing that I think I will do different is choose a different cover and do more signatures instead of such a big one because this one ended

Autumn Rose Boots n Bows  is such a great image it was perfect for journaling! By now you know that I really really love doing other stuff than cards :) And there's something that I've been meaning to try and that's making a junk journal!  This is the center folds of my junk journal.  This was done on some cardstock for paint that I gessoed and then did some gelli printing over.  I think it really created a fun background for this great image! Here it is colored with my copics.   The sentiments that I have added where cut out from a book by Jim Henson's Doodle Dreams.  I purchased it for very cheap it was reduced but it had some fun quotes that I knew I would be able to use like this. Hello!  Now I'm totally missing out my camping trip.... It went way too fast and now it's over.... but I do have a bunch of memories from it. I used some of my digis and one from RSD to use for a post to immortalize this moment in my camping book.  I have been doing a smash book for the past few years where everyone writes down their memories of the day for the 2 weeks we are gone.  It's fun to see the handwriting change and what the kids have remembered from their days :)  Hopefully those will be some great mementos of their family life later on.
