Layla butterfly Fae - Faery Ink

Image
OMG it's almost the end of September... and now I totally realized that I had forgotten to post this fabulous image from Faery Ink the great  Layla Butterfly Fae .  What on earth happened to me that I missed this?!? I don't know.... I have no excuse other than it's been a rough time lately and I've been trying to get better and yeah lost track of time in the process?!? Who would guess right?!? Anyway here's my make with her.  I have done her ready since the month of August because she was part of my Journaling by 5s series.  I really love how she turned out!

Fairy - keeping busy

Image
I've been feeling down in the dump.... and I mean really really down in the dump.  I went to empty out my office on Saturday (you can imagine how it was emotionally draining and such).... and got a nail in one of my tires...... :( We were having my oldest son's girlfriend and my daughter's boyfriend over for supper that day... and I had the special visit of my dad.  It was fab that it took my mind off my issues... but that soon caught on to me actually the next day I was feeling blah and today was the pits. All I wanted to do was stay in my pjs in bed... didn't want to do anything.... and I really had to go and get my tire fixed but I didn't want too.... didn't want to do anything and I could feel the depression edging closer.... wanting to come back.... and I was ready to just let it come back with open arms and just go and crawl in a corner to cry. But then I thought how I have fought this soooooo hard and I can't give up.... it would be so very...

My whimsical little world - Windswept

Image
WOW there's another fabulous new release image over at  My Whimsical little world .  And this time around it's such a sweet and fabulous image totally love Windswept. She was just perfect in my journal that I made using the Journaling by 5s.  It's one of the pages that I didn't really alter or modify after I finished it because I really love it the way it was. I did work on the left hand side however and that included putting some embossed paper, a hair bandana that was recycled. Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC I hope you have a great Monday.  I have to go and get a flat repaired on my car..... happened the day that I had to go and empty out my office..... talk about bad karma..... sure hope that now something turns around for me.... I really really really need it.... like my stress to fly away lol Hugs

Don't be square

Image
If you are here for the coffee blog hop it's here . I'm trying to keep busy.... and that means doing something with myself. I have found that today I'm exhausted.... guess the news of this week is sinking in and the emotions that washed over me have left me kind a tired.... Tomorrow is emptying of my office day.... and I'm so glad that my hubby will be with me because I don't think I could just face going there alone.  Might be emotional you know?!? Anyway as I have been sharing with you since January I've been pushing myself to do new things!  And that includes doing LOTS of things that I had never done before.  Including altering books!  I've been reading lots of Mixed Media books and that brings a smile to me.  So a good way to feel somewhat better. And I've also tried to make some gifts that come Christmas I can give out and that will mean something to whoever is getting it.  This one is for my daughter (she doesn't read my blog.... and I s...

Getting myself back up....

Image
Hello everyone!  I got some devastating news 2 days ago.  My job was abolished.  So even if I was ready to go back on a progressive basis well I have no job to go back too.  It's taking me so very long to scrap the bottom of myself from the floor.  And to read this news well... it just brought it all back. I had to remember if it was all worth anything.... most of all AM I worth anything.  And I have to say that I'm totally BLESSED to be surrounded by so many loving people.  Everyone pulled close to me and sent me virtual hugs.  After spending 2 days crying none stop I have to find ways of getting myself back. The best way that I know how is to go through what I did to get out of the initial big hole and that is to create.  So that's what I did.  I created something for my daughter.  It was in the pile of need to do and well today it got done.  Then, as I was pocking around FB I came across the cutest little release ever fr...

Buttons and bows - RSD

Image
I've been really busy this summer with this awesome new process of journaling by 5s.  It's a timed event so you really don't have time to think you have to just let it go!  And that's pretty awesome creatively speaking.  So today I'm here to share my post for  Sparkle and glitter . I've been playing with the fab sheet  Buttons and Bows .  And I played with 3 for this page. I used some borders on the left and right plus the little manequin shape.  I used some washi tape and lots of paint to make this. Here's a closer look at the page.  They were all colored with my copics.  The sentiments are from  Create with TLC   I used a bunch of punched out circles and some sequins in them.  Thought it was fitting with the image and the fashion.  I did ruin my dolls face however by putting the varnish on top.... the colors ran on her :(  that really sucks... I need to start using my Krylon spray before sealing my page...
